#11 - Martika - Toy Soldiers

Martika's rendition of Toy Soldiers is the original written by her which was

released in 1989. One of my favorite songs of the 80's. It reached number #1

for two weeks, and though Martika would release at least three more successful

hits VH1 would place this version of Toy Soldiers in their 100 list of Greatest

one hit wonders. It is remembered as her most successful hit. The song was

written referring to drug addiction.
